SYNOPSIS A struggling mid-career novelist receives help on her latest book from an intelligent fiction-writing device; but as it gradually takes control of her novel, she decides that she must kill it. - A budget A detailed budget has not yet been discussed, as we are still working on locations, however we estimate that we could make it for as little as £4,000. The large majority of our budget will go into production through equipment hire, insurance and feeding and transporting crew. We would also need to budget for festival fees (approximately £30 per festival - will probably come to £500 total) and post production fees for colouring and any VFX (we have relationships with VFX artists, for whom expenses will need to be paid). We believe that we could shoot Thothscribe in 3 days, shooting on RED Scarlet and Zeiss primes. - A distribution strategy As writer, director and producer of Thothscribe are Columbia MFA candidates, we will be eligible to compete in the acclaimed bi-coastal Columbia University Film Festival (CUFF).
